The Courier Guy or TCG with their clever advertisements and so many lockers. And they are arguably one of the most well-known courier companies in South Africa. In the spirit of our recent RWC Rugby World Cup win and the next edition of the Springboks series Chasing the SUN, we just have to share TCG’s latest advertisement entitled Chasing the SUNSET.
Service levels offered include Local Same Day Economy, Local Overnight, Overnight, Regional Overnight, Economy, Regional Economy, Local Overnight Flyer and Local Same Day Flyer. Local Overnight Flyer and Local Same Day Flyer service level parcels must be shipped in a flyer bag.
Same-day delivery must be requested before 10h00, and overnight shipments must be booked before 13h00. The Courier Guy offers automatic R1000.00 [incl. VAT] liability cover. The proof of delivery (ePOD) is confirmed through the use of a one-time pin. Recommended for local same-day and overnight shipments.
RAM is the famous hand-to-hand couriers in red
RAM hand-to-hand couriers. Behind the scenes: 25 years in the making with 1500 vehicles and 3000 staff members to handle every delivery. RAM offers Economy and Next-day service levels here. Next-day delivery must be requested before 12h00 and delivery time varies between 24 and 48 hours. No third-party logistic companies used for RAM deliveries. Recommended for regional economy shipments.
INTERNET EXPRESS revolutionized the online courier business
Internet Express online courier company. IE offers Economy and Express service levels here. Collection must be requested before 13h00 and delivery time varies between 48 to 96 hours. The proof of delivery (ePOD) is confirmed through the use of a one-time pin. Recommended for main centre economy shipments.
SKYNET is the largest independently owned courier in the world
SkyNet with the logo that looks very much like postnet. Did you know? SkyNet Worldwide Express is now the largest independently owned courier company in the world! it started in JHB in 1988, and now has over 1000 offices in over 150 countries. And they do 1 million parcels per month. Well done indeed.
Three of SkyNet’s service levels are currently offered, namely Economy, Overnight and Same Day delivery. Same Day delivery from main centre to local areas is guaranteed by 5pm on the same day if collection booked by 09h00. Collection for overnight deliveries must be requested before 11am. SkyNet offers automatic R1000.00 [incl. VAT] liability cover. Recommended for main centre and regional express shipments.
WUMDROP is a (brand new for us) last-mile delivery service
WumDrop is a new one for us. But they come with good company and share the following logistics partners: Makro, Builders, Onecart, Standard bank, Game, Italtile, CTM, Oasis, and more. They say they offer Frictionless last-mile delivery and driver crowdsourcing. With a stellar track record based on over 5k google reviews.
What’s more, they have same-day delivery services in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Bloemfontein, Polokwane, Nelspruit, Kimberley, Mossel Bay and Gqeberha. This might very well be the bicycle rental delivery service we have been waiting for! Recommended for a last-mile delivery service. And they specialize in same-day delivery within major cities in South Africa.
WumDrop is a last-mile delivery service. Parcels are transported directly from the merchant to the customer. This courier option is only available from a main centre address to a location within 100km in the serviced areas. Book your Shipments and ensure it is ready for collection before 10h00. Parcels must be below 30kg and 60x40x70cm in size.
FASTWAY couriers handle over 16 million parcels per year
Fastway has a network of 300+ franchisees in SA and delivers over 16 million parcels every year! We’ve seen them many times before. Fastway offers national flyer or parcel service levels with a delivery timeframe of 2 to 4 business days. Book your Collection for both service levels must be before 14h00. Fastway will automatically assume liability up to the value R1,000.00 [incl. VAT] of the value of goods at no extra cost. Recommended for local shipments.
