SAFETY FIRST: No JHB DBN linehaul tonight

No linehaul tonight: Verbatim update as received from one of our JHB DBN suppliers

The below comes after we have had a quiet morning in CPT. I was at the CPT intl airport and no mess no fuss there. Plus with the varsity and the schools closed for the holidays, things are quiet in Stellenbosch. But not the same for upcountry. Hence the update below. See how and why. We have limited service in GP and KZN. For today and tomorrow. This too shall pass.

To all customers: 30 June 2026 Refers. No linehaul tonight. After serious consideration and advice, we have decided not to run our linehaul vehicles ex JHB and Pinetown on the evenings of 29 and 30 June 2026, due to the high risk and distances between JHB and DBN, as well as to our regional depots. The KZN freight corridors are not guaranteed safe as per the authorities.Β  Schedule update below.

Linehaul for Today

This was from yesterday. So not relevant for today anymore. But gives you insight. For 29 June 2026: Afternoon collections in DBN and JHB today will be done and held at our depots. And Normal deliveries today will take place as per our route guide. Now for today. For Tuesday 30 June: No linehauls and No deliveries. However, the depots will be manned if safe to do so.

Linehaul for Tomorrow

  • For Wednesday, 1 July 2026 &
  • Thursday, 2 July 2026.

Deliveries will resume and we will do everything possible to catch up the backlog. KZN is identified as a high risk area. The same for Gauteng. So we cannot justify taking a chance and putting our drivers lives at risk. The same goes for our fleet and your freight. We regret the inconvenience and will keep you updated. Please feel free to contact us on 0795071231, or the deliveries depots. Kind regards from our whole team and stay safe out there.
