RULE OF 20: Twenty tracking links for bicycle couriers

Tracking links for bicycle couriers…

…can be multiples as below if you use twenty difference service providers. 20 providers. 20 tracking links. all below. And counting. Until we find the holy grail. Whenever that might be. PP looks to be a firm contender. Even though I like CourierMate way more. All below, with a tiny caption on how and why we use each provider. For boxed bicycle deliveries across the country. In our quest to become the best boxed bicycle courier company in Southern Africa. Let’s go! Tracking links for bicycle couriers below.

*This is not a ranked list. After sending thousands of bicycles throughout South Africa, we’ve learned that there is no single ‘best’ courier company. Each provider excels on different routes, in different regions or for different types of consignments. We simply choose the most suitable courier for each shipment.

  1. ITT. Intertown has a good footprint in the EC. And we do a lot of JHB CPT with GIT. But they don’t have a DBN depot which makes it expensive that side. Easy bookings on PP and added GIT component. Online tracking at the link below and yes you can get a unique URL per waybill at https://intertown.pperfect.com/
  2. Aramex. National reach with many depots. Also has the POSTNET group. And does work for our friends over at Specialized. But can get pricy quickly. However their cross border is more competitive. Based on volume sent. Online tracking with a unique URL per waybill at https://aramex.co.za/tracking/TrackShipment.php
  3. DSV. The biggest one here and a global juggernaut. Which has its pros and cons. Good for going off the beaten track to remote locations. Bad for pricing above 350kgs consignment and many layers of red tape. Online tracking in clientzone but no unique URL per item at https://clientzone.za.dsv.com/ClientZoneV2/Index.html
  4. MYC. Pleasant surprise even though what we do is not how the started. But evolved. Great rapport with the service team and always friendly and happy and willing to help. Online tracking at https://mycourier.couriermate.co.za/pages/trackingevents.php
  5. SWE. New addition and also on RWS. So has a similar profile to other providers we use. And also on PP so a familiar booking interface. Many similar sized companies around. Tracking link at https://swe.pperfect.com/
  6. Sunrise. New addition by chance as a referral. It is a small world and what goes around comes around. Only good vibes here. Also does deliveries for OMNICO. I thought I recognized those delivery vehicles when they arrived. Tracking link at https://www.sunriselogistics.net/track-a-package/
  7. Kargo. They use a custom booking portal unlike most other providers on here. The latter mostly use white labelled existing platforms iso having written their own custom software. Good footprint but pricing more suited to smaller items. Online tracking below but no unique URL per item directly on their homepage at https://www.kargo.co.za/
  8. BEX. Another custom booking portal. Have had good experiences with bulkier deliveries on some routes ito pricing. Yet relatively costly on others. So need to know our routes and rates as always. Track your shipment online at quicktrack but sans a unique URL per waybill at https://track.bex.co.za/quick-track
  9. DCB. A unique feature compared to anyone else on this list. They phone the sender and recipient prior to collection and delivery. To avoid sending out vehicles when either is not available. Which has both pros and cons. And we’ve outgrown each other. Public tracking with unique URL per item at https://www.dcb.co.za/TnT/PublicTnT
  10. Fedex. Good for sending boxed bicycles via airfreight to and from international destinations. And have a look at our price guides on #bicyclecouriers. And when it comes to intl shipments speed of pricing quotes are important. This is dialed in. online tracking. Which allows you to enter up to 30 waybill nrs one per line. At https://www.fedex.com/en-za/tracking.html
  11. Aptekor. Saw them on the wine farm when we had offices outside of Stellenbosch before moving into town. When they collect documents from the accounting form. And now we have them listed as area specialists. WP&NC: Western cape and northern cape specialists. Tracking also on PP with unique links at https://aptekor.pperfect.com/
  12. Netwerk. The ladies with the WhatsApp based manual booking system. Great work but less integration and a more personal touch. Also very area specific. Tried and tested and we know what to expect. Mahy things manual. Cloudflare disallowed the www connection so I share the FB page at https://www.facebook.com/netwerkkoeriers/
  13. Transmart. For overnight boxed bicycle deliveries, on certain routes. During weekdays. Ie road freight vir CPTJHB. But not CPTDBN because that is too far for overnight via road. Flown options elsewhere with SWE etc. Another white labelled PP platform with online tracking and unique links at https://transmart.pperfect.com/
  14. Logistical solutionist. On PP for bookings when we signed up. And also on RWS regional wholesale services for the more remote deliveries in the north. Sending boxed bicycles and tricycles and ice cream bikes from JHB to CPT etc. New online tracking sans unique links at https://logisticalsolutionist.itetech.co.za/tracking
  15. Gavic. Around JHB and in the north only. From FTL full truck loads to catering equipment and more. Also on PP for bookings. And a friendly booking crew. However expansion elsewhere led to this account lying dormant. Familiar © Parcel Perfect online tracking with unique links at https://gavic.pperfect.com/
  16. Expressway. KZN specialists. But not elsewhere in the country. So JHB DBN and Ladismith still fine. Own booking system so a few back+forth emails or phone calls. Which is another of a great area bound provider. Online tracking Powered by FreightFocus. And unique links with detailed tracking info at https://ew.ffpro.co.za/ext/waybill?action=track&accno=&type=
  17. Rush. Gives you an instant online quote through familiar providers like TCG and DSV. Both of which are on the expensive side of the scale for our boxed bicycle dimensions. And we have never sent a bicycle with The Courier Guy. I don’t see any online tracking functionality on their public client website. but you can grab a quote directly from https://rush.co.za/
  18. Online. The clever online quote-based system that spits out an instant quote and uses familiar providers. Which whom we also have a direct account. but the price varies between regions. Online tracking link with unique URL per waybill at https://courieronline.co.za/getwaybill/view/
  19. Triptych. I’ve known Andrew for well over a decade back from the MMB days. And we send the odd ad hoc bicycle through them from time to time. No online tracking link. Use third parties for deliveries. Track on Triton. Still have to talk about that domain registration…
  20. TBA soon. Who is next? All will be revealed soon. Because a rolling stone gathers no moss. And we are busy with our annual supplier review. Seeing as July is traditionally the slowest month of the year. For sending bicycles. Or renting bicycles. And in the local hospitality industry. Middle of winter.
