A quick intro to PROVLOG: Provincial logistics
Provlog and bicycle couriers… But more than just bicycles. Start thinking ito larger freight and FTL full truck loads. Work in pallets and multiples thereof. And better rates from depot to depot and in certain areas. Not necessarily the courier model. But we can assist with warehousing and picking. Which is great for bringing in a container load of bicycles and then storing it while you send out stock to buyers and bicycle shops. E-bikes here we come.

Provlog is based in… Paarl. Around the corner from us. With a depot in JHB. And a presence across the country, with heir national transport and warehousing solutions. Delivering to over 300 towns and areas across South Africa. They are heavily into wine. Which is where I know them from the time we spent nearly 10 years in Vrede Wines outside of Stellenbosch. Now Provincial logistics deliver around 160,000 cases in the Western Cape and 120,000 cases in Gauteng, every month.

Van Loveren which moves large quantities of wine. BOS rooibos tea. Aquelle. Swartland where we collect for own consumption. Chill beverages with Score and more. And so much more. Even RFG. Which reminds me of the vending machines we send countrywide. Full circle.

Provlog in dev… After chatting to Provincial logistics last week, it is clear that they are onto something with their systems in development. And I cannot wait to see the end result. This comes shortly after I have seen what Greeff and the guys at ondio.co.za are doing for the hospitality industry. We are in a brave new world and there are good things to come. Watch this space. Meanwhile we are onboarding via ParcelPerfect and have been using same through so many different providers in the local courier company space.
Provincial logistics is a B2B 3PL service provider
Provlog is a B2B 3PL… Which means they are a business-to-business third-party logistics provider. IE an outsourced company that manages warehousing, inventory storage, and bulk transportation on behalf of a business that sells products to other businesses rather than directly to individual consumers. So they don’t deal directly with the public. And that is where bicycle couriers fit in. You can book through us. As we know the ins and outs and assist you with the process. And why do Provincial logistics prefer not being public facing? Because it filters out a whole range of admin and issues for them not having to deal with someone who is new to the process.
