Destination details – recipient name and ID and tax nr. And full address to where we must deliver. Again, it pulls in from google maps. And we at bicycle couriers check for correctness. To ensure your boxed bicycle gets delivered to the right address on the receiving end. And even the telephone numbers provided are being verified so no entering just zeroes to complete the field and move on. Welcome to the digital age.
#3 ITEM
Parcel details – accurate dimensions LBH in cm. And weight in kgs. Plus, description and make and model and value. Also make sure it is properly packed before collection. If you don’t pack it yourself then easiest might be to ask us and arrange for it to go to the nearest bike shop. Then they can pack it for you. And you know it has been done properly. For peace of mind bike travel.
#4 SERVICE
Service type – airfreight in his case. We can choose from normal vs quicker options. Even though it is only a few days difference. And with smaller items we can collate and send at a lower rate. But anything exceeding 30kgs actual or volumetric goes solo. Which covers all boxed bicycles as well. Accessories may be smaller.
#5 CUSTOMS
Customs details – who pays for what? Usually, the recipient pays. But you can do it the other way round as well. Duties and customs on receipt. As calculated based on the commercial invoice. And what is the HS code for a bicycle? The HS code for a bicycle is 8712.00. IE The standard 6-digit international code for non-motorized bicycles and other cycles, including delivery tricycles. And the HS code for parts and accessories: 8714. IE If you are shipping components or spares rather than a complete bicycle, they fall under heading 8714.
