So, what does it cost to send this oversized Ebike box? From JHB to St Helenabaai on the West Coast. Dims 150*100*50cms and 40kgs. Price to send with other companies below. Correct at the time of writing. Rounded to 100 or so. E&OE and all that jazz. And by oversized we do mean quite big. A regular large cardboard bikebox comes in at 160*30*80 cms. So, this example right here is about 2x as big. Volumetric or in absolute terms. Double the fun. Quite a large bikebox then.

Our rate is 1499 in this example. Which is almost R1k better than the nearest competitor. That’s a big difference. Showing that it pays to buy in bulk. Prices change all the time. but our standard rates stay fixed, ie 799 for a main centre boxed bicycle delivery and 1099 for a remote area boxed bicycle delivery. The latter is for a boxed bicycle in the range of say 140*20*80 cms to around 160*30*80cms, even though we are lenient. There you go. Now you know.
VERDICT: What does it cost to send an Ebike with bicycle couriers?
Just R799 to a main centre. Or R1099 to a remote location. With #bicyclecouriers right here. If boxed into a std cardboard bikebox. Or Thule or EVOC type hard case or soft-shell bike bag. Same as for our other boxed bicycles. We don’t discriminate against ebikes…
