RWS is Regional Wholesale Services, but what do they do?

RWS as an option for regional boxed bicycle deliveries through bicycle couriers

What is RWS? The courier’s courier. Also an aggregator. Just like bicycle couriers is a boxed bicycle courier aggregator. RWS includes smaller items and remote areas. In their own words, they say that ‘RWS offers a totally neutral regional delivery service.’ But what does that mean? RWS owns the most extensive “inland” regional wholesale network in the country through 25 inland branches, covering over 2000 towns.

The Courier’s Courier, & Subcontracting Setup

RWS utilizes an Independent Service Provider (ISP) owner-driver model to scale their local reach. They manage strict onboarding for these local operators. And require tracking, specific vehicle parameters, and uniforms. To maintain uniform service levels nationally. RWS maintains a highly rated risk division staffed with deep SAPS/Hawks industry experience to protect regional cargo routes.

Connecting over 2000 towns

But what is more interesting is that they link with a range of providers in our shortlist***. Ie Aramex, BEX, Value, DPD, Fedex, MDS, MYC, Logistical Solutionist, JKJ, DHL, etc. And also suggest a few more. Now this is where we can learn. Fits our profile? Consider them. ROHI logistics, Primtime express, MTE xpress, Pathteq logistics, BRIMA, Beyond, Rhenus, Nightwing, Value, Kushesh, JRT enterprises, Blueline express, Beyond couriers. Doesn’t that have a nice ring? Beyond couriers. Bicycle couriers. Beyond bicycle couriers. Déjà vu, as I had that exact name in mind on the bicycle earlier today on my way to Jonkershoek.

Does it make sense for us to go direct?

Seeing as bicycle couriers already have many bicycles being delivered by RWS based on the providers we use, that in turn use them. And I must admit it is an absolutely seamless process. The integration is perfect. Sometimes it is just the tracking that requires the odd manual update here and there. but I am very impressed and will happily continue using RWS. Either via a 3rd party or by going direct. And If it is a regional delivery in the north then your bike is probably already being delivered by RWS.

Now where can we send your boxed bicycle today?
