Heavy rains in KZN, PMB, Durban
I got back on the evening flight from DBN to CPT after the Amashova with #warrioronwheelsfoundation this Sunday. It was a wet-wet-wet day on the bicycle all the way from PMB to DBN to finish at the Moses Mabhida stadium. And our plane was late to depart because of all the rain and the fact that we couldn’t board front and back. And more heavy rains in Buffalo City.
Heavy rains in Bufallo City, ELS
ENCA reported 24hrs ago that The SA Weather Service has warned that several parts of the country will experience adverse weather conditions over the next two days. It says this is due to a cut-off low pressure system. Heavy rains have pounded parts of the Eastern Cape. Localised flooding is expected in the Buffalo City Metro.
It never rains but it pours!
And just this morning I received the following update to show that the rain was widespread and into the Eastern Cape around PLZ as well. Don’t worry, all your bicycles are safe, we might just have to add a day to delivery times in certain areas. Details below.
HEAVY RAINS AND FLOODING
Dear Valued Customer
Due to the heavy rainfall over the past two days and subsequent flooding, there will be some delays with deliveries and collections into our service areas today. Some of our facilities have also been affected by the flooding and those branches may experience some problems with their communications (email and switchboards). We apologise for the negative affect it has had on you and your clients.
Yours faithfully,

Severe weather affecting operations in the Western Cape
Dear Valued Customer
Recent heavy rains have impacted our delivery operations, particularly in areas such as Uitenhage. The severe weather has caused infrastructure damage, resulting in road closures and power disruptions. This has led to temporary shop closures and other operational challenges across the affected region.
Municipal teams are actively engaged in recovery efforts to restore road access and infrastructure. We are closely monitoring the situation and working to ensure your deliveries are managed as efficiently as possible under these circumstances.
Please reach out to our team if you have any questions or require further information. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through these temporary challenges.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
Best regards,
DSV Road Management
