MANIC cycles is at it again. They are the OFFICIAL tech support for the EPIC since 2017 and the friendly faces to receive your bicycle once you have crossed the finish line after each EPIC stage (and provided that you have booked your service package with them). And did you know that they provide that same high level of service at the W2W? YES, at all three FNB Wines2Whales events:

Tech support for your bicycle!
What are these Wines2Whales service packages? I spoke to Francois Esterhuizen, owner of MANIC cycles in Worcester and he describes it as follows:
We are proud to say that we can offer you the most comprehensive service package of all the shops involved in the event. MANIC cycles will be setting up a mobile shop (and workshop) at registration, plus we will also be at the finish to help with packing or boxing of bikes. With all package options we will wait for you & your bike in the Tech Support zone (within the race village) and we will return it to the bike park once serviced & tested, ready for the next stage. Bikes will be washed by our own staff, to ensure bikes & especially the drive train is properly cleaned each day. (and this is the part I like most – no inflated prices…) Whichever package you select, we will charge for parts & stock at our standard shop rates. Labour charges are elevated to help cover the costs of travel and setting up mobile shop. Which makes perfect sense.
Which Wines2Whales service packages are available?
- Standard Wines2Whales service packages at R1400 per rider – basically a minor service after stage 1 and 2 which includes a wash and lube and gear set and brake set. PLUS, also with a comprehensive race check on the rest of the bike for complete peace of mind. And they will happily report when something needs attention.
- FULL Wines2Whales service packages at R2250 per rider – for when your bicycle needs a bot more TLC at the end of each day, now you can treat bicycle to a full service after stages one and two. If only it was as easy to treat your legs to same way! Maybe there is – ask about our recovery with Francois Retief…
- Additional Wines2Whales service packages – You have options! From building a bike before the race to boxing it afterwards and everything inbetween, MANIC is ready to help. They even have vehicles delivery services from the start or OAK valley or from the latter to the finish. Plus, a complete post-race bike overhaul (remember those muddy stages!?)
