Advanced form integration temporary (few hours) hiccup between WooCommerce and google sheets
Rebuilding the bicycle couriers advanced form integration in the middle of the night? That’s exactly what we had to do yesterday. Twice. Only to find that everything was done to the tee from our side. All troubleshooting and rebuilding didn’t reveal any changes. So, I contacted the plugin developer for AFI advanced form integration. And they had a look and pushed out an update overnight. When I woke up this morning and read their email all I had to do was to update to the latest version of the plugin. Inside WordPress. And we were up and running and good to go again.

*And please note this wasn’t a system shutdown or anything major. This was simply an easier and quicker way of dealing with many bicycle courier shipments all at once. I love spreadsheets. And it is much easier and quicker to look at a single spreadsheet (google sheets in this case) than to go in and out of every single customer bicycle shipment order inside WooCommerce each time. I like the simplicity and ease of use of the spreadsheet. And seeing everything at-a-glance all at once. So here we go, this is what happened between WP & WOO & AFI ie advanced form integration:

What can I see from my bicycle couriers AFI use case?
At bicycle couriers we pull in sales data from the website to the spreadsheet. For every new order that comes in a new line item is created on the google sheet and it show the order details, to and from venues, price, payment done, dates required and delivery details. So it does exactly what the name suggests: advanced form integration. I’ve also gone and populated field where the tracking links from the waybill number so you can see what is happening to your boxed bicycle courier shipment with a single click. So easy to manage. Just like it should be in the modern age. All while still having the human sanity checks in place.
