This afternoon I had a long overdue coffee with Gavin King from RIDE IN Stellenbosch. We met right in the heart of town, opposite Gino’s, where RIDE IN is located — in the Black Horse Centre, just off Dorp street. I saw Gavin at the Karoo2coast MTB race in Knysna this weekend, where he casually conquered the course in under 4¼ hrs. Well done indeed. I’ve done one of the RIDE IN wine-hopper tours on a bicycle through old Stellenbosch and along the Eersterivier. Then up to Jonkershoek for a spot of wine tasting at the Post Card Café. And it was pure bliss. Returning through Lanzerac, where we now finish the Tourdeboland.
