We continue to let you send boxed bicycles between main centers and remote areas in South Africa at our previous rates. Which are 799 between main centers. And 1199 to or from a remote area. A simple two-tier pricing structure. To send boxed bicycles anywhere in SA. And here below are some examples of the fuel price levies and increases we absorb.

Dear Valued Customer. There is a fuel levy adjustment on the 2nd of September 2026. The industry has received an Increase in the price of diesel. And hence the fuel levy will be adjusted to the greater of R 42.36 or 72.02% of the waybill charge, effective 2nd September 2026.
DSV says…
DSV road news. Dear Valued Customer. On Wednesday 2 September 2026, the wholesale price of 0.005% Sulphur dieseI increased by R3.15 to R29.55 per litre. As per the formula to calculate the monthly surcharge, the fuel surcharge equates to 33.49%. The minimum fuel charge is R12.50.

Please be advised. Due to the latest published Diesel price increases to be implemented tomorrow by the Department of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, we have to increase to our fuel surcharge of 5.86%. The fuel surcharge is a variable surcharge that fluctuates with the movement of the fuel price. From tomorrow we will see the Inland Diesel 0.005% price hiked from R26.90 per litre to R30.05, a R3.15 per litre increase (11.71% increase).

Geopolitical Fuel Volatility Surcharge. The current fuel surcharge of 46.5 % remains unchanged. Considering the increase in the diesel price of R 3.15 per liter, we want to inform you that the Geopolitical Fuel Volatility Surcharge has been adjusted. For your benefit we will adjust the rate by 60 cents per kilogram, added to your existing per kilogram rate for all services.
…remains a temporary measure
Further to the above. As previously communicated, this remains a temporary measure introduced to offset the extraordinary fuel price pressures resulting from ongoing geopolitical instability. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will adjust or withdraw this surcharge as soon as conditions allow.
Why the surcharge or fuel levies?
These increases stem mainly from the continuing geopolitical conflicts which are driving rising global oil prices and over which we have no control. Unfortunately, the US-Iran war escalated in August which pushed the prices above $90 a barrel. As this is a fluctuating surcharge, should the fuel price decrease in the future, we will accordingly adjust the surcharge downwards.
