Why did we switch over from regular WhatsApp to WhatsApp for Business?
We’re super serious about service-delivery on our bicycle delivery service (see what I did there?). When I started with #bicyclecouriers I used to save all new customer names onto my phone starting with BC and then a name or description. But a swift 2000 bicycle deliveries later and it got so cluttered that I didn’t have the time to save each customer’s name individually anymore. And now there are so many numbers that I need to start separating business and pleasure (sometimes the same). Enter WhatsApp for Business.
How does Whatsapp for Business enhance your bicycle transport?
Well, I don’t have to save all the numbers below. And I have an additional internet browser on 1 of my 3 computer screens on the desktop, dedicated to WhatsApp for Bicycle Couriers only. Which makes responding quick and easy and it separates my personal stuff from the bicycle deliveries. But existing customers still reply on my direct number. Either way, whether you use the 079-507-1231 (mine) or the new bicycle couriers WhatsApp for business number 061-440-1720 (#bicyclecouriers), all queries will still come over my desk and be dealt with swiftly. Let’s go.
*Oh yes and before I forget, WA for BIZ allows me to have the products from the bicycle couriers website available in a catalogue that I can tap to select and share in the chats so it is quicker than having to open the URL manually and cut and paste same for customer to check out. and I love anything (well most things) that tend to save me time!
Three things that I wish Whatsapp for Business could change
(A) First, I would like to have a second separate desktop app on my windows PC, iso just using one instance of an internet browser dedicated to #bicyclecouriers WA for BIZ. (B) Secondly, it would like to be able to cut+paste new customer order telephone numbers into WA for BIZ so that I can chat with them (seeing as they have ordered from me and are existing customers). But I can see why this one is the way it is, otherwise, people can easily abuse it. (C) Finally, and along the same lines as the text – I sit in front of the PC with my headset on and would love to be able to tap and talk to existing customers, which doesn’t look like it is possible without first having saved the numbers on my phone/sim. Pity. But already better then before.
