These are our 24hr overnight bicycle courier routes
Our previous news item announced the overnight route to PLZ. Which reminded me to do a summery of all the 24hr routes we have available at the moment. From Cape Town to the rest of the country, this is where and how you can send your bicycle (and anything else for that matter, within reason) overnight. Get a quote. We’re happy to help. And send overnight between CPT<>JHB, CPT<>BFN, CPT<>PLZ, JHB<>DBN, JHB<>PLZ, and return. Both directions. Every weekday. With dedicated vehicles to ensure your bicycle gets delivered on time. Let’s go!
Overnight route on the N1—JHB
1400kms from Cape Town to Johannesburg and then across the Jukskei to Pretoria. This is our most frequently booked overnight bicycle courier route. Well, simply because this is probably the busiest passenger route in the country in any event. Going up and down between the Mother City and the Place of Gold. We do this every single weekday, in both directions. So for 2499 (correct at the time of writing) you can send a bicycle between CPT & JHB/PTA if there is an emergency to get to the CTCT cycle tour or 947 ride JHB or such.
Overnight route on the N2—PLZ
750kms from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth and from there we also cater for East London. Plus, George and Plettenberg Bay is also on the way. But we don’t necessarily stop at every town every time. We’ve also sent down a truckload of bicycles for tours and events within 2 days from CPT to ELS and onwards to the coast. Through the Garden route South Coast. And we collected the Adventure racing AR World Champs’ bicycles last year in Cape St Francis.
Overnight route on the N3—DBN
Almost 600kms from Johannesburg to Durban via Pietermartitzburg. When I resided in Sandton this was a frequent route for bicycles races, events, swimming the Midmar, and seeing clients. But now that we are back in MTB country in Stellenbosch, this JHB/DBN overnight courier route is one we leave for the interlinks. It’s a very busy road, and one I am glad that I do not have to drive myself anymore, even if out of free will or when going on holiday. But I do miss the memories and am looking forward to taking my bicycle up to Amashova next month!
Overnight route on the N10—BFN
1100 kms in total from JHB all the way down to the coast on the new overnight route to Port Elizabeth. Or just 400kms from Johannesburg to Bloemfontein on the N1. The last time I did this route in a car for a single race for ourselves was with Niki in the Volvo with the roof rack and Jack Parow blaring over the speakers. And it was a wet wet wet Knysna Oyster festival weekend that year. But now we send bicycles and other things up and down that route every single weekday.
