CYCLES vs AdWords: which should we choose, and why? The google AdWords vs spending your time wisely debate. This afternoon I was checking up on a paid for google AdWords campaign cost for someone else. It amounts to a minimum ad spend of R5k pm over 3 months just to test and get going. And you must monitor the negative keywords closely. Plus allow for trial and error and adjustments. Which means even with a close to 100% markup some items might not by fit for the google AdWords model. And you may be better off finding other sources of leads. More cost effective. And more consistent. Which is exactly what we are doing. See below. Sharing is caring.
Bicycle couriers to and from these cycling shops in South Africa
Bicycle couriers doesn’t have actively managed social media accounts, because we focus on the website and this blog right here. And it works. Bicycle couriers have also never done a single paid-for advertisement. Either with google AdWords or with Facebook. Ps the latter is quite a bit more cost effective. So here is a neat idea. Iso spending money chasing for the leads directly from their sources, we will rather go to the individual bike shops and ask them to be a preferred supplier. There are 150+ bike shops below, extrapolated. And these are all shops to and from we have and are sending boxed bicycles. So just convert them with a dealers rate. The cost of acquisition is way cheaper then google Adwords. And if each one sends just 1x bicycle per month it add up to another 150 bikes. There you go. Time to scale. Let’s go!
