School closed on 12 May 2026
A second frontal system will impact the Western Cape today (11 May 2026) which will result in more disruptive rainfall and flooding in parts of the province this afternoon into Tuesday, 12 May 2026. In the interests of learner and educator safety and after consultation with the Provincial Disaster Management Centre and South African Weather Service, the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has taken the decision to close all schools in the province tomorrow, 12 May 2026. All learner transport in the province will also be suspended.
Spread the word. Schools closed. Schools must inform parents, caregivers and learner transport service providers of the closure immediately. All schools are scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.

All our boxed bicycle collections for today in and around CPT have been done but there may be delays in getting them to their respective destinations because of the weather.
