It’s a(nother) GREEN LIGHT for bicycle couriers!

As bicycle couriers all we have to do is watch all the lights turn green!

Every day it is a green light for bicycle couriers. But what does that mean? It means on our collections screen we load the boxed bicycle collections for the day. And then I keep on checking the tracking. To see when the bikes are being collected. And it gives me immense pleasure to log in towards the end of the day and see all the green light boxes been ticked as the bikes were collected. Which means they are then ready for the next part of the journey. Ie en route to the local depot. Where it will be loaded onto the long haul vehicles after hours and then drive up to the receiving depot.

SEEING that green light for bicycle couriers

Here below is a screenshot of a few examples that was loaded in the morning, with private details removed. And you can see the collections as they happen. These are mostly in real-time, sometimes it is delayed, when manual waybills are being used. But a great way to keep track of your boxed bicycle shipments.

EXAMPLE of a green light for bicycle couriers

Now, let’s consider the following practical example. Jannie lives in Stellenbosch. Jannie sees a bicycle he wants to buy in Port Elizabeth. Because of bikehub pay Jannie feels safe that he can have the bicycle collected directly from the seller. Door to door. Because if anything is not as described on the advertisement or there is anything amiss on the bike then Jannie can ask for bikehub not to release the purchase price to the seller. So Jannie books his boxed bicycle transport from #bicyclecouriers. And it costs him just R749 door to door from PE to Stellenbosch. Using this link right here at our /product/door-to-door/ – and after the green light for bicycle couriers we can follow the movement as below:

TRACKING that green light for bicycle couriers

We receive the order to send his bicycle from PE to Stellenbosch. Then create the waybill online. Which generates a PDF waybill that we send to Jannie so that the seller of the bicycle can print and stick it on the box. Then we arrive to collected. And that GREEN LIGHT for bicycle couriers turns up as in the screenshot above! The boxed bicycle goes to the depot in PE. And after hours it is loaded onto the interlink. Due for CPT. And may stop along the way, say at George depot etc. When it arrives at CPT depot the boxed bicycle is scanned in again. And you can see it on online tracking. And the next day it goes out to Jannie in Stellenbosch for #newbikeday!

Couldn’t be easier. Now you can do the same. And generate another green light for bicycle couriers!
