Which day?
This is a question we often get. Now at 699 to send a boxed bicycle from DBN to CPT you cannot get a concierge and say you want to bike to be collected at say 17 minutes past 6pm. We work on weekdays. Like TAKEALOT. Pick a date, not necessarily a time. and then we have the freedom to collect anytime during that day. Typically, office hours. If it is a business address collection, then we aim to stick to collections before COB ie mostly 5pm. and if it is a busy day for boxed bicycle collections and the drivers runs overtime then they might very well still collect after hours from home addresses. great service, I might add!
Behind the scenes…
Now this makes a lot of sense. Same as in the TLDR above: Collections can be any time during the day. But they typically do deliveries in the mornings to make space in the vehicles and then collections in the afternoons. So, between midday and close of business. And we often get collection instructions in the mornings and book it for the same day collection. So, it makes even more sense to prioritize deliveries first and then collections. To ensure that you don’t have to go back and forth on the same route. Remember, these boxed bicycles are being collected all across the country…
What time?
Now lets say you book your bike today for collection tomorrow. But you know now already that your bike won’t be boxed or ready before say 11am in the morning. Now that ius easy. We can now already book and instruct the driver to say the bike can be collected FROM say 1pm onwards. This is standard practice. And it happens all the time. when we book boxed bicycle collections. In fact, refer to the previous point above and then you see there is a good chance it will be collected in the afternoon anyway.
