All work and no play made jack a dull boy. So, it is about time for a fun post again. We have been way too serious for way too long. Is this one of the most addictive old school things on the internet with 35 million views on YouTube? Please note the correct name for the bicycle shop we are referring to below is just BADGER CYCLES. Not the full badger badger badger badger.
As we collect another bicycle from BADGER CYCLES in Scottburgh today, I thought it was prudent to tell the world about this great bike shop. The sani2 finishes in Scottburgh and inevitably there are some bicycle transport requirements after the event. Badgers cycles is perfectly located just less than 5kms from the sani2c finish as on the map below. Badger cycles stock a wide range of bikes and accessories and with a bit of a heads-up we can collect boxed bicycles from them. And they have a pretty good shopify online store as well. Oh, and speaking of collecting bicycles after the sani2c. I have seen this time and again. It happens so fast! As people cross the finish line they hand in the bikes to be washed. And it needs to be washed after 3 days or pure mountain biking joy. That might have been wet. And muddy down the Umko drop. And more surprises through the sugar canes. Plus over the sea water at the coast at the finish. But what amazed me was just how quickly the chains started to show surface rust after the bikewash. Which just goes to show you the power of Mother Nature again. Moral of the story: a clean bike is a happy bike. But reapply that chain lube immediately after cleaning.
