Last year we helped Shana with her UCT Cycling Research Study, and now we are spreading the word for Cheryl, who’s busy with her PhD at WITS. PS, I’ve done this simple survey from my phone in just a few minutes 🙂
Returning to sport after COVID-19
As an endurance athlete, you have been invited to complete this questionnaire that takes about 15 minutes. The questionnaire aims to determine the severity and duration of COVID-19 symptoms you experienced and the impact of this on your quality of life and athletic performance.
You have to be older than 18. All responses are completely anonymous and personal data you provide will be de-identified.
The year 2022 is looking promising with many races having returned to the calendar! If you are a cyclist, runner or triathlete, over the age of 18, you are invited to participate in my PhD study, which looks at the challenges faced when returning to racing fitness after having contracted COVID-19. The research team will be grateful if you would assist by sharing the above invitation and the link to participate in the survey with your networks of athletes. The more participants involved in the study, the better we can understand and manage illness in athletes in the future.
