Q4 bicycle couriers updates
Let’s get the admin out of the way before the season starts in earnest. Because this September was already a bumper month. Not only for bicycle couriers but also for bicycle rentals. And if it is anything to go by then we will have our hands full when the holiday rush hits. So let’s see what we have done below and what we are doing next. In anticipation for the many bicycle we are about to send over the next few months. Let’s go!
Bicycle couriers updates from before

What we have already covered
- INSPIRATIONAL customer: Start them young! I just love the enthusiasm this youngest ever bicycle couriers customer showed when booking his brand new bicycle from the seller across the country to him right here in CPT. And I am still waiting for the after photo.
- DVNC: More than a dozen cycling events wiped from the calendar. Yip, there are so many events that we loved doing and sending bicycles to that are no more. The cycling calendar is emptier than before. For various reasons. But there will be more. Learn from this.
- PAYFLEX: buy now and pay later at #bicyclecouriers. Oh, I love it when we can add new products and services. And right here and now you can pay off your products bought from bicycle couriers over a few short months by using payflex through peach payments.
- Friendly faces at races: Francois Retief and FHR Sports! From one Francois to another. MANIC will service your bike during W2W and other races. And Francois Retief from FHR sports recovery (previously from EPT) will ensure that your body is well looked after.
- 2K2C: Cycling to Karoo2Coast to find Die SPOOK van Uniondale! We wen in search of the spook from Uniondale but alas did not find here. This right here was the plan. And another blog post later on showed the execution. Where will your bicycle take you next?
- UPDATES from bicycle couriers: Things are moving along swiftly! And as I sit here typing this I realize that we have done a few updates for the last dozen or so posts above. Alas, here we go again. What is new? All of the below. Let’s have a look at it together, no repeats.
Brand new bicycle couriers updates
- RIDE Joburg 947 again this year: JHB at its best. Ride JHB is not on my agenda this year because I simply do not have time for another trip up the JHB but I bet you do and yes we can send your bicycle there. The JHB race has even more climbing than the CTCT.
- Long overdue coffee with Gavin from RIDE IN Stellenbosch. It was only after I saw Gavin from RIDE IN Stellenbosch in Knysna after the Karoo to coast that we finally grabbed a coffee date to catch. See which wonderful things they are doing for cycling in CPT.
- TREK spinnekop: what is a bicycle spider? From real spiders to bicycle spiders. One can even argue that the real spider was indeed a bicycle spider, seeing as it travelled there from HELLSEND to home. And learn what a BCD is and how it fits in with bicycle spiders.
- It was a blast: cycling TO Karoo to Coast (again). This was the best weather of any of these trips we have done on more or less the same route before and I would love to do it again. See how it went as we cycled up from Paarl, Swellendam, Uniondale to finish in Knysna.
- HOLIDAYS: #bicyclecouriers Peak Season Readiness. The holidays are just around the corner and things will likely start to get busy for us at bicycle couriers very soon. And we have ambitious goals of sending x number of bikes this season. Hundreds? Too Easy!
